Kia Soul power steering – problems, symptoms and solutions

The Kia Soul (model years 2012-2020) is equipped with electric power steering (EPS). This system is known for its light steering feel, but unfortunately this model relatively often experiences power steering problems. Many owners deal with heavy steering, an illuminated steering or EPS warning light, or even complete loss of power steering.
