BMW 3-series steering rack – problems, symptoms and solutions
The steering rack of the BMW 3-series is equipped with electric power steering (EPS). This system provides comfortable and precise steering, but is known for specific malfunctions and failure issues. A faulty steering rack can lead to unsafe driving behavior and should therefore never be ignored.
EPS faults occur regularly on the BMW 3-series. The steering can suddenly become heavy, especially at low speed or while parking.
